Dear Piano Lover,
Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Coos Bay is hosting Piano Day on Saturday, March 28, 2020.

From https://www.pianoday.org/
“Piano Day, an annual worldwide event founded by a group of like-minded people, takes place on the 88th day of the year – in 2020 it’s the 28th March – because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated. The aim of the day is to create a platform for piano related projects in order to promote the development of musical dimensions and to continue sharing the centuries-old joy of playing piano. Piano Day welcomes all kinds of piano lovers — young and old, amateur and professional, of any musical direction – to join in this year’s festivities.”

The time reserved at Emmanuel is 1:00-4:00 p.m., but can be shortened or extended depending on how many people sign up to play. Participants and audience are welcome to stay for the entire event, but are not required to - we do ask that if people depart before the end of the program that they do so at scheduled breaks.

Students may perform one piece. More advanced players may play 1-2 pieces. Memorization is not required. When programming, I like to “mix it up” with levels and styles. If requested, I will program family members in the same section, and will also consider time-window requests.

This event is for piano music only - no additional instruments, and no vocals. Four-hand (duet) pieces are welcome!

Teachers with participating students are requested to take a (short) greeting shift at the door.

Deadline for registration is MONDAY, MARCH 9, 6:00 p.m. Download this registration form, fill it out, and return to me by email or post:
Kate Moody, PO Box 1632, Coos Bay OR 97420

Program and schedule will be sent to participants by end of day, March 14. Participants and sponsors (please contact me for sponsorship possibilities) will be listed in the program.

Proceeds will benefit the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival Piano Campaign.
